In Decatur, the cafes inside museums, botanical gardens and visitor centers are a good option on a day out, and city parks often host a coffee cart or a seasonal concession stand. Across Georgia, state and national parks list their concession hours online and close early outside the summer season. Check the listing for hours, admission requirements and the Google rating, and use the main cafe and bakery categories for everyday coffee, since the places here are grouped by location rather than by what they serve.

Decatur is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Decatur follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

i’ve never been able to adopt a dog so easily! And we saved two lives, the dog adopted and now there’s an extra space for another dog to be rescued. They came to our office at Veeam Software on Wednesday, June 24 and I was love at first sight with Bart, whose name is now Casper. We instantly connected and I was able to adopt him three days later.

I lost my kitty suddenly and finally got to a place when I could consider adopting another. I filled out the application, was accepted and made an appointment to pick up the new kitten I had chosen. I drove all the way there and the rude, heartless woman in the office (that has been reported several times over the last year in several different places with feedback) told me the kitten was gone and pick another. Someone put down just cat on the appointment instead of the one I applied for and CONFIRMED less than 24 hours before. Did she even say sorry about their hurtful mistake? Of course not, empathy about animals especially after a recent loss is too much to ask and non existent here. I was told the owner would contact me today. The owner never did. The person that told me the kitten would be available for me to pick up didn't even bother to follow up to show any consideration for the mistake I had proof of in my email confirmation. Heartless, horrible uncaring, inconsideration that is obviously never addressed no matter how many valid complaints are made to fix or change things. Spare your self the heartache and stay away.

We stopped by PAWS to consider getting a cat and fell in love with Rocky (fka Saucy)!! I could tell he was very well cared for and loved while at the shelter. The staff was so excited and helpful in our adoption process, thrilled to see him end up with his forever family (finally!). They even provided a soft crate for us to carry him out, as all we had was a cardboard box and blanket. They gave great instructions on how to best integrate him into his new home, since we are first-time cat owners. We've had him for 3 weeks already and adore him. I admire the staff who work here so much. They are amazing people, doing wonderful work to take care of these animals.

I'm surprised I haven't already written a review! One year ago I came to PAWS looking for a companion on recommendation of my therapist and part of my treatment plan. The team was kind, patient, and happy to let us meet various dogs and think things over. I applaud them for also doing their best to match dogs to the correct family and their needs to permit both animal and person to match well! PAWS is a rescue willing to work with you without judgement and understand everyone's unique needs without having extreme bars that turn off adopters, I recommend them! In the future if I am looking to volunteer, foster, or adopt I'd come here! I recommend them all the time to folks lookin to adopt. Our first foster to adopt, Bean, is a fantastic dog but didn't work out as much as i wanted it to due to apartment living :( BUT it made me glad that I COULD foster to know that vs adopting and having a dog that wouldn't be as happy as he could be with me. However the gal that we took home only took 24hrs to be adopted by us because i couldn't imagine her going away. we still had to work through reactivity but she was much more manageable physically for me when she did have outbursts. Thanks to M

We had the best experience. Staff were very open and honest and helped us find our new family member. Our girl has been an absolute joy, and that is a testament to the loving care she received during her time at Paws!
